In honor of the 83rd birthday of one of the classiest acts in show biz history, I'd like to present this wish to Mr. James Garner. Born April 7, 1928 in Norman, Oklahoma, this dirt poor, bare-foot farm boy has emerged as one of the most beloved most respected performers of his generation.

83 years old? Wow, that's hard to believe as I still envision him as Maverick (the old TV version). I grew up watching and loving Maverick.
ReplyDeleteMy husband had a stroke similar to James Garner's, but much more severe as my husband still remains in a hospital bed in our living room since November 2009. I'm so glad that James Garner didn't suffer a stroke as devastating as my husband's.
